A refined 1960s ring in 18kt white gold featuring a 0.85 ct Burmese ruby, untreated and rich in colour, surrounded by 0.90 ct of brilliant-cut diamonds (F–G, VVS) and 0.50 ct of rectangular diamonds (G–H, VVS–VS). The design reflects the graceful balance and polished refinement typical of the decade, when central coloured gemstones were highly prized and enhanced by harmonious halos of brilliant and baguette diamonds.
